HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK A WEDDING PLANNER?

Depending on your collection, need, scope of work, and season, we typically book 9 – 18 months in advance for all of our collections. We have – however - been known to plan a jaw dropping black tie wedding in less than 3 months as well – so we never put a deadline on planning an event. On a tighter schedule? No worries – be sure to drop us a line here to discuss your big day.

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM PACKAGES?

Absolutely! In fact, we thrive on bespoke experiences. Most of our clients have customized collections because every event is unique – whether that means hand crafting a multi- day wedding experience, planning a destination wedding in a land far away, or organizing an intimate elopement. If necessary, after our initial consultation, we will customize a collection to best suit your needs for your big day.

WHAT'S THE AVERAGE BUDGET YOU WORK WITH?

We work with budgets of all shapes and sizes. We know that a wedding of any budget is a luxury experience, and we work hard to provide our clients with that experience no matter what the number is we are working with. With that said - we are going to be totally transparent with you when it comes budget expectations vs. reality in all facets of the planning process.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU TAKE PER YEAR?

We LOVE love and if we could, we would plan 100 events a year – but we can’t so we don’t. The reason Fancy is so good at what we do, is because our number one priority is our clients. That’s why we take a limited amount of weddings and events per year, so we can make sure that we have enough time to dedicate to our angel clients – whatever the service is we are providing.

WHAT IF MY VENUE HAS AN ON SITE COORDINATOR?

Great! We love working with venue coordinators, however, a venue coordinator’s first priority is just that: the venue. Our priority is 100% you – 100% all of the time. We will be well rehearsed in your details, logistics, and vision in order to execute your best day ever successfully.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FULL SERVICE AND EVENT MANAGEMENT?

To put it plain & simple - with Event Management, we let you do you. Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and resources, and occasionally we have clients come along that have the personality to take the task on without a second thought. We applaud that and let you do your thing. We’ll check in from time to time to make sure you are on task and enjoying the process, and then come into the picture at the end to tie up any loose ends, and make sure your day is smooth sailing.

We do tell clients though if that what you are looking for is Fancy’s help with bit more than just wrapping up all of the details – like say, offering personal and professional advice along the way, connecting you to the wedding vendors that we think you’ll love, or helping you stay on task and on budget, then you are ABSOLUTELY looking for more than Event Management, and a strong recommend is our Full Service Collection, or a custom collection made just for you.

Full Service is more traditional in approach. We collaborate on every detail - from conceptualization + design all the way to execution + oversight. We handle everything from contract management, vendor relations, to design conception and logistics and most importantly, guest experience.

WHY CAN’T I JUST PURCHASE MONTH OF OR DAY OF COORDINATION ?

 

Honey, we love you, but there is no such thing as MONTH OF or DAY OF Coordination. This could be the biggest wedding urban legend of them all. Personalized, well executed and seamlessly produced events don’t just happen overnight! Having an experienced professional with you during the planning process is invaluable and can save you time, energy, and headaches when all is said and done. Fancy finds that with our services, we are not only well versed on who you are, what your vision is, and what your expectation is, but we are truly competent and very experienced in managing your team of vendors and overseeing the flow of events from even before the wedding day starts!

Sure, you will always be able to find someone who offers “Day Of” Coordination or a similar service to come in “just at the end because you don’t need anything more than that”. But buyer beware: managing all the details of an event day and seeing them to completion takes more than just showing up! Coordinators claiming they can do all of the important things you absolutely need taken care of on and before the biggest day of your life in the last week or two before your wedding or for a price that seems too good to be true are likely underprepared to be able to deliver a quality service. Invest in experience and quality, and invest in your own peace of mind!

You don’t sign up for a marathon and then hire a trainer to help you on race day. You want someone with you to help guide you along the way! Fancy finds that the longer we’ve been a part of your wedding planning journey, the more likely we are to win the race. And winning = WAY less stress for everyone involved!

WHAT 'S INCLUDED IN THE WEDDING DAY TIMELINE?

The timeline is extremely comprehensive - it includes, but is absolutely not limited to; all transportation info, hair/makeup appointments, vendor drop-off & pick-up times, the photography shot list, and any leisure activities planned for the day and weekend. Basically, anything that's happening on your day/ weekend is included and timed appropriately. This timeline is created by Fancy 30-45 days from your wedding – once all of the major elements have been planned and confirmed. It is then shared with all vendors and appropriate parties so that everyone knows what to expect. Vendor contact info is also included and this timeline becomes 'the bible' for everyone involved in the day’s production.

WHAT DO THE HOURS OF DAY-OF COORDINATION INCLUDE?

The hours of coordination on your wedding day includes oversight and implementation of everything on the timeline - such as setup, breakdown, all vendor communication, & any day-of payments that need to be made (this also pertains to cash tipping). Fancy is onsite and making sure that your day is smooth sailing.

WHAT IF I PURCHASE THE EVENT MANAGEMENT COLLECTION,

AND THEN I NEED FANCY TO TAKE OVER CONTRACTING A VENDOR FOR ME?

An assistant when you need some wedding planning assistance, Fancy will take over the design direction and/or contract negotiations/ management for your florist, caterer, rentals, stationery, personalized details...you get the idea. We charge an additional fee based on the vendor and scope of work. You can also always adjust your services to another collection.

When it comes to transportation logistics, welcome gifts and wedding maps, hotel room blocks and group rates, and the personalized details - we got you. Regardless of what you need, don’t be intimidated by the task of hostess - we can help.

WHAT IS Á LA CARTE?

Á La Carte services is the extra confetti thrown around Fancy’s collections. They are what some call lagniappe (LAN-Yap) “a little something extra”. You can add on any of the a la carte services to any collection. They cannot be purchased individually.
